Our Horses
We have 5 beautiful draft horses that make up Charming Carriages
& Swan Valley Wagon Tours team.
All of the horses live on a 55 acre property in Bullsbrook,
where they receive 24 hour care.
Not only are our horses a part of our family business they also are our passion and our pets who we love dearly.
When they are not working they are relaxing in their paddocks together eating and eating and sleeping and grooming and eating...
and did we mention eating...
Toffee
Toffee is our most treasured mare. She is a roan Clydesdale. Toffee is 16hh
(162cm) and will be 15 years old on 22nd November 2022.
Toffee was born in the Swan Valley WA.
She is a wonderful work horse with a lovely kind nature and our lead girl for helping train the youngsters.
She also looks absolutely stunning in a flower crown.
Violet
Violet joined our team in March 2019. She is a grey Clydesdale x Percheron Mare. She is 16hh (162cm) will be 10 on 2 September 2022.
Miss Violet has fit into our team absolutely perfectly, she is happy to go in pairs with anyone and works alone well too. She loves cuddles and makes a very beautiful wedding horse.
Johnny
Johnny is our beautiful white Percheron gelding. He is 16hh (162cm) and will be 15 years old on 7th Oct 2022.
He started his career in Melbourne Victoria. Seeking the good life out of the hustle bustle of the city Johnny moved to the stunning Swan Valley.
Johnny is a hard worker and always tries his best to please.
Percy
Percy joined us in 2018 as an unbroken young horse. He has now passed his training with lots of gold stars and is now a part of our Wedding Team!
Percy is a black Clydesdale gelding, he currently stands 17hh (172cm) and will be 8 years old on 24th July 2022.
We are thrilled to have our 'Perfect Percy' available for wedding and special events.
Lady
Lady is our newest and youngest member. Lady is a black Shire filly.
Lady's birthday is 27th September 2018. She was 16.3hh on her 3rd birthday and we expect her to mature at least 17hh.
She has been a delight to get to know and is an absolutely gorgeous and cuddly baby.
She recently won supreme of supreme at the Heavy Horse Festival WA.
Bob
RIP

Eulogy to Bob
Bob was our famous Wedding Horse.
He was a black and white Shire gelding standing 17.1hh (175cm) and weighing in at 920kg.
Shire horses are an at risk breed with less than 1500 registered in the world.
Bob was the perfect gentleman who bought something very special to any occasion.
Bob loved a scratch on the neck and also loved to eat fresh bouquets.
Major
RIP
01 August 2010 - 24 November 2021
Major was our very handsome Clydesdale gelding. He stood at 16hh (162cm) and was a beloved member of our team. Major joined us in 2017, and unexpectedly left us early.
He had a wonderful career as a wedding horse and a great member of the Swan Valley Wagon Tours team.
We will miss him dearly ♥
